Although self-supporting financially with corporate consulting contracts studies, the Center for Computational Learning Systems has full access to the resources of Columbia University. CCLS research scientists focus full time on our clients’ real world needs while drawing on the resources of Columbia University’s faculty and graduate students in any areas of academic research. Many of our projects involve interdisciplinary work with Columbia University scientists in Computer Science, Computational Biology and BioInformatics, Engineering, The Earth Institute, The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, the Center for Environmental Research and other groups of scientists who bring their expertise to projects for CCLS clients.

The University includes three undergraduate schools, thirteen graduate and professional schools, and a school of continuing education as well as its relationship with New York Presbyterian Hospital. Columbia attracts a diverse and international faculty and student body, to support research and teaching on global issues, and to create academic relationships with many countries and regions. It expects all areas of the university to advance knowledge and learning at the highest level and to convey the products of its efforts to the world.
